Frequency and duration of physical therapy will be based on your current function, limitations and your goals for therapy. During your first session, your physical therapist will be able to properly assess and recommend how many sessions that you may need in order to reach your goals and return back to your prior level of function. All of our treatment plans are individualized based on your specific needs and situation. Most clients start 1-2x/week then decrease to every other week or monthly as they progress.

Physical therapy may cause minor discomfort and muscle soreness due to possible mobility and strength deficits your body has. Physical therapists have been trained to continually assess your pain level in order to prevent unwarranted discomfort.

Depending on your injury or symptoms, the timeline for full resolution may vary. You should see some improvement within your first 2-3 sessions.

Recovery will depend on the type of injury or surgery completed. Full recovery time can span from 4 weeks to up to a year. At your first physical therapy session, your physical therapist will be able to assess and then recommend the frequency and duration needed for a full recovery.

After each therapy session, your physical therapist will provide you with exercises that will help you maintain strength, improve mobility and ensure carry over of new skills outside of skilled therapy services. Home modifications and your individualized exercise plan are a critical part of carrying your success in the clinic into your day to day life.

A therapist who specializes in scoliosis treatment can help improve your pain, respiratory function, avoid invasive surgeries, and improve your ability to maintain 3-D postural corrections when completing daily activities. Our scoliosis care focuses on pain improvement, postural improvement, and prevention of progression. Many of our younger patients do obtain scoliosis curve improvements but we cannot guarantee this outcome.

Physical therapy is an effective treatment for a wide range of conditions including but not limited to: ACL tear, scoliosis, incontinence, herniated disk, obesity, osteoarthritis, rotator cuff tear, stroke, cerebral palsy and torticollis. We have orthopedic, pelvic floor, and pediatric specialists allowing us to treat conditions including developmental delay and common pediatric diagnoses, pelvic pain and incontinence, orthopedic injury, and balance impairments in the aging population. Our therapists are equipped to treat throughout the lifespan ensuring every family member is functioning at their best.

All clients receive an in depth evaluation to allow us to treat your unique concerns and presentation, no two patients are the same. Depending on your condition and symptoms, your physical therapy session may include soft tissue massage, stretching, mobility training, strengthening, balance activities, and caregiver training/home exercises program.

No referral is needed! In the state of Texas a Doctor of Physical Therapy is allowed to initiate care without an order. We will help you obtain needed orders within 10 business days of initiating care.

We have patients from all major insurances! Insurance is complicated and varies from person to person, so we recommend a free discovery visit to learn about your specific situation and cost. Often insurance can dictate the type of care you receive. We are in network with many major insurances including medicare and BCBS and the insurances we are out of network with we provide a superbill for out of network reimbursement. This setup ensures us to give you the best possible care based on your needs and not allow insurance to dictate the services you receive.

Communicating with your physical therapist when experiencing increased pain will be extremely important during your physical therapy session in order to reduce unwarranted pain or discomfort that you physical therapist may not notice or detect.

A lactation consultant provides support to families who desire to feed their babies with breastmilk. This includes support with latching, pumping, bottle feeding, monitoring infant weight gain, and general breast health.

Yes and actually we highly recommend a prenatal planning visit or our feeding baby basics course! A lactation consultant can prepare you for all your possible feeding goals including educating you about breastfeeding, pumping, breast health, storing breast milk safety, and infant weight gain.

Yes, a lactation consultant can assist you in proper flange fitting, efficient and best pumping settings, and how to store your breast milk safely.

The consultation is an hour in order for the nutritionist/dietitian to take an in depth history, look with you at your current eating patterns, learn your personalized goals and create a plan for you to achieve them.

Yes, a nutritionist can help you lose weight but we also focus on healthy relationships with food, looking for underlying causes of weight gain, and creating healthy goals that are not strictly weight focused. We follow the principles of intuitive eating.

All registered dietitians are nutritionists but not all nutritionists are registered dietitians. We recommended you look for a registered dietitian because that ensures they are licensed and have at least a masters degree and excellent understanding of your nutritional needs. Interview dietitians to see if they have experience with your specific area of need.

Yes, our registered dietitians are trained to help you navigate allergies and sensitivities and help you to find a plan that will give you all your necessary nutrients while helping you to avoid triggering foods and still feel your best.

Our registered dietitians are trained in medical nutrition and are able to work with you and your medical team when specific medical conditions are present.

There are many nutritionists who help with meal planning and preparation. At Compleo, we do not specialize in this area of need and instead teach the client how to confidently make meal decisions independently as life often puts us at restaurants/time constraints that don’t allow following the predetermined meal plan.

During scoliosis physical therapy, you will be seen by a certified scoliosis therapist who has spent time learning and educating themselves about the best and most effective treatment for scoliosis. By seeing a certified therapist, you will be receiving the most up to date treatment including how to complete 3-D postural corrections, reduce progression, improve respiratory function, and prevent need for surgery. The exercises are different from traditional strengthening exercises and are individualized to your unique curve type.

We focus on the 3 Ps: posture improvement, minimizing progression of curve, and pain improvement!

Duration of scoliosis physical therapy will depend on current symptoms including pain, learning style, age and goals for therapy. We usually recommend about 20 hours of treatment spread over a 6 month period. During your first session, your certified scoliosis therapist will be able to assess and then recommend how many sessions will be needed.

One of the goals of scoliosis physical therapy will be to stop further progression of curvature no matter the age of the client. Depending on age and amount of growth left, scoliosis therapy has been shown to correct and reduce spine curvature.

There are no known risks to our scoliosis therapy.

Yes, we work with your team to determine the best treatment plan for the client. A recent study shows bracing and scoliosis specific exercises combined is more effective than bracing alone or exercises alone.

Yes, we have in person and telehealth options. The client must be in the state of Texas at time of services to receive telehealth services.

Sports physical therapy can treat all sports injuries from muscle sprains and strains to more intensive needs with ACL or meniscus tears.

If an injury has already occurred, we may request an order from your doctor with necessary precautions to follow. We can evaluate and screen (and treat up to 10 days) without an order.
